Tuition and Financial Aid

Earning your Master of Social Work from Fordham University is a financial investment, and we offer multiple ways for you to fund your education.

Tuition for the 2023 – 2024 academic year for the OnlineMSW@Fordham program is $1,045 per credit hour, not including fees.

PLEASE NOTE: The credit cost reflects the current academic year. Tuition and fees for subsequent academic years will be established by the Board of Trustees in June of each year.

Additional university fees include technology, portfolio, field work, and other related fees. Students can expect to pay a one-time assessment fee of $200. Students can also expect to pay approximately $1,131 per year assuming they undertake the six (6) term course of study. Some fees are associated with student course load and may increase or decrease based upon individual course of study.

Scholarship and fellowship opportunities are available for qualifying students. Some scholarships are provided by the Graduate School of Social Service and others are provided by outside agencies in support of social service students. Fordham University requires that all students carry health insurance, either through the university or an alternative provider. You will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) unless you demonstrate that you have other coverage and request to waive coverage under the SHIP program. Detailed information on this requirement, including costs, may be found online here.
